Water Baptism

Praise Abba Father for this is the day that He has made, the weather was good.
Being an afternoon of a Public Holiday, brothers and sisters came to Lido Beach early to enjoy God’s creation and fellowship, keeping distance in mind. There were around 100 of them. Our Filippino sister, Donna Chaired the event, starting with a prayer then Brother Andy led us into praising God. All of us were ready to witness our 13 beloved brothers and sisters, including 2 children, who were willing to publicly be baptized into Christ.
Pastor Gavin shared the meaning of baptism using, ‘the crossing of the Red Sea’ which symbolizes water baptism, God rescuing Israelites out of Egypt, meaning saving us out of slavery. Walking through the Red Sea symbolizes baptizing into the waters then rising and walking to Promise Land, buried and rising with Christ, having a new life. We focus on God, no more on our past and self but focus on God. We then have the power of the Holy Spirit, to walk our life with joy.
Pastor will ask 2 questions for confirmation:
- Have you accepted Jesus as your Lord and Saviour?
- Throughout your walk with Jesus, no matter what happens, will you still walk in Christ?
Certificates were then presented to each of them. Pastor Gavin prayed over them before they proceeded into the water. Each group celebrated the joy with their members with a thought of love.
