Mother’s Day

Praise the Lord that more than 200 brothers and sisters with their mothers joined our Sunday service specially dedicated to our loving mothers.

After a powerful praise and worship session, children church prepared a special presentation,firstly, sister Pui Pui presented a poem and then more than 40 children all together sang a song to the mothers together with a power-point showing the respect and beautiful moments of mother and children. After the song presentation, they gave their hand made gifts for all the mothers. Pastor Gavin also invited all the mothers to the stage and blessed them by a prayer.

A brother Ka Chun from Youth 1- Elim CG testified how God has improved the relationship with his mother. Before accepting Christ,he was a very naughty boy in the family and school. He even beat the teacher and broke the arm of his classmate. He also had arguments and fights with his mother often at home. When Ka Chun and his mother came to know Christ, their relationship was reconciled by the love of God. Ka Chun understands his mother more and causes less trouble in family and school now.

Another testimony was given by sister Jay is Youth 2 – Galilee CG, she used to be a

very rebellious child in the eye of her mother and teachers.She always caused troubles and arguments with teachers and mother. Sister Jay claimed that she was the naughtiest student in the school. After sister Jay accepted Christ and learned the truth from the Bible, she realized that she was wrong.Now sister Jay has improved a lot. Even though other classmates did naught things in the class, she would not involve and remain quiet. The love of Christ has greatly improved her relationship with her mother. At the end of testimony, sister Jay also presented a bunch of flower to appreciate her mother.

Pastor Gavin preached that all of us should honor our mother.The Sunday service was overwhelmed by warmth and love. At the end of the preaching,Pastor Gavin invited the non-believers to response to God. By the touched of the Lord, six new brothers and sisters accepted Christ at the end of the service.

The celebration for the Mother’s Day carried on,we all had lunch together in the Chinese restaurant which our church had booked advance. During the lunch, an instant photo was taken and given to the mothers and their son or daughter. The restaurant was full of joy and laughters. Thank God for all all of His love and provisions for this unforgettable Mother’s Day.
