Children Church (CC4) Chinese New Year

Children were very excited about the event.  Weeks before, they have already started preparation.  They wrote couplets with spiritual meanings and made their own Chinese New Year Ornaments, expressing different blessings.  They displayed their creativity and excitement as they engaged throughout the process.  

After Praise and Worship and communion, the children proceeded to their class.  The session started with a prayer.  Then children shared their thoughts about “joy” and “peace” while the teacher concluded with a deeper meaning that trusting in the Lord would produce peace and joy, which would not be subjected to circumstances. 

After going through the memory verse, they played a game called “What would Jesus do?” and ended with a prayer.

“I pray that God, the source of hope, will fill you completely with joy and peace because you trust in him. Then you will overflow with confident hope through the power of the Holy Spirit.” (Romans 15:13 NLT)
