Praise the Lord for making a way !

43 brothers, sisters, and friends came together for our Youth Galaxy Outing city hunt themed “You Go”, including 11 new friends. We gathered at Hope Oasis around noon, and after a simple warm up game, participants were divided into four groups and sent to different districts including Kwai Fong, Tsuen Wan West, Lei Muk Shue, and Shek Lei to complete various missions.

Each group received envelopes containing small tasks and clues that guided them to designated spots. The missions included singing together, completing a big rope skipping challenge, and playing traditional games such as “What Time Is It, Mr. Fox?” and “Red Light, Green Light”. Through these tasks, everyone collaborated joyfully and built strong team spirit.

Following that, a special and meaningful mission was also prepared. Each group had to purchase a small gift within a set budget without knowing its purpose. After all groups returned, the mission card revealed that the gifts, together with a blessing card, were to be given to neighbours in the community. Participants gladly accepted the challenge, approached residents with courage, and offered blessings and words of encouragement, sharing God’s goodness in simple yet heartfelt ways.

Groups returned to Hope Oasis around 4:00pm for rest and sharing. While enjoying the prepared food, everyone exchanged stories from the community. A highlight video and photos were also shown. Several brothers, sisters, and friends shared their reflections, including breakthroughs in blessing strangers for the first time and gratitude for the team’s preparation.

In closing, brother Sing shared that the heart of the activity was rooted in Matthew 28:19-20, the Lord’s call for His people to go and fulfill the Great Commission. Hope Oasis, our church, stood as the centre point, and the four locations formed a cross shaped route that reminded us that the Gospel always moves outward. As each group stepped into a different district, we were not only completing missions but also living out the message of “You Go”, responding to God’s invitation to enter the community with courage and hope. We rejoice that one new friend chose to believe in Jesus Christ, a beautiful fruit of this journey of going.
