Worship Revival

October 1, 2011

“5, 4, 3” We were counting down to the opening of Worship Revival 2011!

The looks of anticipation and cheers of excitement filled the air of the church. The Praise and Worship team led by brother Allen started with a series of praises. Everyone were just singing out their lungs, waving their hands in the air and jumping with joy as they praised the Lord.

Just as everyone was enjoying God’s presence and immersed in His love, the musical started. It was a play with four scenes. It told the story of a Christian. In the beginning, he was proud of his ability to Praise and Worship. Then, He fell into Satan’s trap and was tortured by him. And by the grace of the Lord and the consistent care of his shepherd, he returned to God. He finally understood the true meaning and the right attitude of Praise and Worship. It was a happy ending and all were dancing and singing joyfully to glorify God. The performance was entertaining and touching.

Following that was sister Lorraine’s two compositions. She wrote and had them performed to glorify God. This was a wonderful demonstration of how we could honor God with the gifting that He blessed us. Everyone simply loved them and was touched by the love of God.

In the altar call, Pastor Gavin shared that: “”Greater things are to be done in this city””. He called for brothers and sisters who were willing to partner with Him and all bowed and raised their hands. It was a touching moment to see God’s people united in heart and responding in faith to his calling.

In the midst of all these excitement, a friend accepted Jesus Christ as her personal Savior. Praise the Lord!

Following that there was the series of praise lead by the Youth. All the songs were designed with dance steps. Everyone were moving and dancing in unity. God’s people were so joyful that they started to form trains and keep dancing, singing and worshiping the Lord till the end of the event.

It was a memorable night and we all were moved .
