Year-end prayer meeting and countdown

December 31, 2014

Today, the last day of 2014, over 200 brothers and sisters gathered at church to give thanks while awaiting the coming of 2015 with enthusiasm.

Brother Allen said an opening prayer then sister Rosa led us to praise and worship the Lord, focusing on HIS grace and mercy. We gave glory to God for all He has done that we might be reconciled to the Father and made righteous.  Through the night, we were reminded of God’s promises that gave us peace and joy the world cannot give in all circumstances.

Pastor Gavin led us to reflect on how we had made bold commitments at the beginning and how God led us through a victorious fight of good faith in 2014 as we believe, receive and put what we learned into action, giving all glory unto God. God will be with us as we spread the gospel to every corner, according to His abundance grace and fight another good fight of faith upon God’s victory for 2015. Pastor prayed for everyone, thanking God for being with us from beginning to the end through everything, that we would commit ourselves in unity totally to God.

Pastor shared about ‘Unwrapping our journey with Grace.’ He took the opportunity to recap our learning journey and main points through 2014.

And for the Medical Relief, it is clear that brothers and sisters were committed to it. As of today, there are 23 centers in Philippines with a total of over 16,000 salvations there. In 2014, 619 in Hong Kong, and 111 in others, adds up to a total of 16,730 new believers. May all glory be to God.

Pastor encouraged us to keep up our evangelizing spirit, and keep reaping with a thanksgiving heart. After par-taking our communion, Pastor shared that in order to train up more leaders; there would be a change in structure aiming at training up more and more leaders. As a church, we need to step out by grace as faithful stewards of God, we need to face challenges by believing in His Promise, and being a good testimony.

At the strike of 12 midnight, we all were joyful, greeting and hugging each other. Let’s keep moving on with God!

And have a joyful and fruitful year of 2015!
