Happy 30th Anniversary to Hope of God Church Hong Kong !
The theme of this year’s celebration is “I Learn”. Pastor Gavin shared about the Bible verse John 6:45 before the Service began. Those who listen to the Father and learns from the Father – the Father will bring them to Christ. The Scriptures we hear will draw us to Christ, who will help us through the Holy Spirit to live out the Father’s teachings and instructions so that we can start to experience life to the abundance.
To start the Service, a video in which new members said some birthday greetings to church was shown. Then brother Jack started the celebration with a prayer and passed the time to brother Jun, who led us to dwell in a joyful praise and worship.
After that, brothers Joe, Sam and Jun from Goodness Group testified God’s amazing blessings in a video. Sam was grateful that God led Joe, his secondary schoolmate to church, who then has become his spiritual friend and is serving God together. Joe gave thanks to God that Jun, his shepherd, encouraged him in different ways when he went through struggles at work. Jun shared that as a leader who has the role of arranging different ministries, he did feel alone sometimes. However, God has sent his sheep, Joe and Sam, to care for him. Through walking and serving God together, they have truly experienced God’s blessings in different aspects.
The title of the sermon is “I Learn”. Pastor Gavin preached on the Scripture John 6:45. This verse tells us a different way of listening – we listen from our heart because of our relationship with God. God’s desire for us is to have a father-son relationship with Him. Through Christ, we can establish the father-son relationship, and God will give us life to the fullest. In return, we respond to God by surrendering our lives to Him and being the partakers of His divine nature, revealing and manifesting the heart of God as a church.
After the preaching, membership awards were presented to members who have joined the Hope Family for 7, 10, 15, 20, 25 and 30 years. Praise God for this great family.
Then the “Recap 2021-2022” video was shown. It captured the joyful and touching moments of our church in the past year. Thank God for all His leading and guidance.
New 30 Testimony Clips Award Ceremony
The highlight of this year’s anniversary celebration is the New 30 Testimony Clips Award Ceremony in the afternoon. Brothers and sisters of each group demonstrated tremendous creativity, unity and commitment in producing their wonderful testimony clips. There were nine videos submitted. Brothers and sisters voted for the best videos online.
The hosts of the ceremony, brothers Wai Hong, Chi Ho and sister Lemon, together with all the special guests, presented the awards in a creative and joyful way. The award winners had a chance to share their feelings and gratefulness for the Lord’s blessings and support of their group members.

Praise God for all the powerful life testimonies. The organizing team had also prepared fabulous backdrops for brothers and sisters to take pictures. Thank God for the wonderful time of celebration, bringing joy and unity in our midst.
