Bible Conference

Everyone will agree that learning is such an integral part of life. We start learning ever since we come into this world, it never stops and permeates throughout our lifetime. There is so much to learn, have you ever asked yourself what kind of learning will really benefit our life.
“I Learn” is our theme for this year’s Bible conference. This has been the first time in 2 years that we have it in the church premises. This year as a church we come together to learn about “learning” from God’s perspective with core bible verse John 6:45 It is written in the Prophets: ‘They will all be taught by God. Everyone who has heard the Father and learned from him comes to me.
Pastor Gavin encouraged us to learn to respond or to declare our identity that we are greatly blessed, highly favored, deeply loved by our Lord when we are asked who are. He also shared about the recent passing of Queen Elizabeth II life as an inspiration to us. The Word of God has given her the framework of her life. She is certain that she is the defender of her faith in Christ that she will serve God and His people all days of her life. Her life is a powerful testimony to people and leaders all over the world and she has indeed been faithful to Christ.
The message to us was that God wants to have a personal relationship with us. He is our Heavenly Father and we are His beloved. It was never His intention for us to learn through challenges. His desire is for us to draw close to Him and learn from Him personally. For being the beloved of God, we must learn how to learn from God, to draw closer and listen to Him.

Teaching 1 : Taught by God
- God teaches men to know Him through the Creation
- God teaches man to know themselves in relation to Him through their conscience
- Taught by God’s ministries to live with Faith and Hope – to trust, and about the Hope of our salvation
Teaching 2: God and Father
- Know the Father before Learning from the Father – In Jesus’ teachings and in Jesus’ ministries
- Know also the Father’s redemption
- Crying out “Abba, Father!” by His Spirit
Teaching 3 Heard and learned from the Father
- True learning results in “Meaning” and “Purpose”
- Expect to hear and learn from the Father
- Having heard and learned, cast out the bondwoman and her son
- Increase Learning and be Weaned
Teaching: 4 Come to Jesus
- Not just “Come”, but “Come near”
- Come near and Worship Him
- Take heed to yourself and come back to His Love
- A delicate Choice and Action
Throughout the 2 days Bible Conference we were also blessed by our Praise and Worship team to lead us into deeper communication with God. Our MLT team also came up with different activities to keep us active and focus in our learning. The relaxing stretching exercise, exciting Kahoot Quiz on our annual Life with Hope, being able to participate in the interactive drama and quality sharing time at end of every day.
Let’s start to pick up our Bible, say our prayers and recognizes that we need to know our God Father even more in our lives. Desire to hear His voice and follow His leading. Praise God!
