Bible Conference 2025

A Three-Year Adventure in Faith
For the third consecutive year, our church family embarked on a life adventure through the Book of Joshua, culminating in a powerful Bible Conference held from September 13th to 14th, 2025. The theme, drawn from Joshua 8:31, “We Are Celebrating — Glory to God,” perfectly captured our journey of understanding God’s faithfulness and claiming His victories.
Guided by Pastor Gavin’s insightful teachings, we delved deeper into the lessons from Joshua. We were reminded that our struggles, like the battle of Ai, often stem from self-reliance. Yet, our gracious God never abandons us. He humbles us, deals with our sin, and leads us to victory so that we may truly celebrate — not in our own strength, but in His. It is all about God’s Glory and Grace. This third year of study reinforced our identity our position as a people moving forward together in faith and obedience.
Our time together was enriched by dynamic activities that built community and illustrated biblical truths. The Spiritual Kung Fu activity was more than just movement; it was a time for us to physically stretch and relax, serving as a powerful metaphor for the need to be flexible and find our rest in God’s strength, not our own. Meanwhile, the balloon games served a special purpose: to help us reflect on how much we know about our church, its members, and our shared faith. It was a fun and revealing way to strengthen our bonds as a church family, reminding us that we are all connected parts of one body.
The worship sessions were the heartbeat of the conference. Through song and praise, we lifted our voices as one body, giving glory to God for His faithfulness. It was a declaration that the victory is won, strengthening our collective faith and aligning our hearts with God.
A profound highlight was the final activity: a symbolic reenactment between Mount Ebal and Mount Gerizim. The congregation received two boxes each — one for writing down thanksgiving, and the other for prayer needs. These were then piled up on either side of the stage. The atmosphere shifted as brothers solemnly carried the Ark and the Bible into our midst — a tangible reminder of God’s covenant presence leading His people. This powerful visual, led by our host, guided us to the foot of the cross. In that sacred space, we could almost feel the weight of God’s presence as we watched a recap video of Jesus’ ultimate sacrifice, culminating in those world-altering words: “It is finished.” As this moment unfolded, the request boxes crumbled to the ground — a poignant symbol of our burdens being released through Christ’s completed work.
The reenactment did not end with a summary, but with a powerful response. Pastor Gavin led us in a moment of praise and heartfelt prayer, lifting up our thanksgiving for Christ’s finished work and dedicating our lives to His service. The conference then concluded on a joyful note of fellowship as we gathered for a wonderful group photo, capturing the smiling faces of a unified church family, forever marked by the presence of God.
This third year of our Joshua adventure has been a milestone of growth and celebration. We have learned to move from self-reliance to God-dependence, from struggle to victory, and from individual faith to collective strength. The journey through Joshua may be complete, but the adventure of living out its truths continues.
