Christmas Party of Gentleness Group

Thank God for enabling the Gentleness Group to organize a special Christmas party in collaboration with Pak Ho Gerocomy Centre. Through this event, we celebrated God’s grace and shared His love with the residents of this elderly home near our church.

The idea of this event originated during the planning of Gentleness Group’s Christmas party. Eventually it received support from our church, and participation from brothers and sisters of various Groups, turning it into a blessed and joyful event focusing on caring the community and sharing God’s love.

At 1:00pm on the day, 24 brothers and sisters from different Groups gathered at Hope Oasis. After the final rehearsal and a prayer, we set off at 1:40pm and headed towards the elderly home. Upon our arrival at 2:00pm, we divided into two teams and began setting up for the Christmas parties on the first and second floors. A total of 32 elders joined us, and the parties started at 2:30pm.

We commenced with ice-breaking games, and captured the joyful moments through group photos. As a starter, healthy food and drinks were served. Then the performance teams led all the participants in warm-up exercises and singing songs of praise and worship to celebrate Christmas.

In this joyful atmosphere, we played games to foster connections, and words of God were shared. Then we gave the elders blessing bags that contained items they needed.

After that, we visited those elders that were not joining the parties. Brothers and sisters proactively visited each of them, expressing our sincere care and love for their needs through sharing and prayers. We also distributed blessing bags and shared words of God to let them know that they were not forgotten.

Through the parties and sharing, we invited the elders and the staff to accept Jesus Christ, and let them know that Jesus cares for all our needs. It was an afternoon filled with love and joy, and we left around 4:00pm.
