Year-End Prayer Meeting and Countdown

Praise the Lord that more than 100 brothers and sisters gathered at the Hope Center for the count down prayer meeting on New Year’s Eve. A powerful praise and worship, led by Sister Elaine and Nicole, was filled with joy and love to celebrate the coming of 2009.

The prayer divided into three major areas: personal relationship with God, breakthrough in life, and church growth in Christ. Pastor Gavin encouraged each of us to build up an intimate relationship with God as He loves us so much and He is always our provider, guidance, victory, complete, able, and almighty. After taking communion and offering, Pastor Gavin challenged the congregation to pray for breakthrough in our life on character & faith, renewed in mind, power, hope, and commitment in Christ, faith in prayer, more passion for Christ, and burden for others. Beside the personal prayer, Pastor Gavin also shared the prayer for church to fill with divine and authority, centered in Christ & His words, driven by mission and church planning and living exemplary life in community etc…

When the time got closer to midnight, brothers and sisters were getting excited and we all sang our praise and danced together to welcome 2009. The whole church was overwhelmed by love, joy, and warmth in the beginning of the New Year.
