Year-End Prayer Meeting and Countdown

More than 100 brothers and sisters gathered at Hope Centre for the count down prayer meeting on New Year Eve. A powerful praise and worship, led by Brother Allen, was filled with joy and love to celebrate the coming 2007. The prayer started with thanksgiving to God for a fruitful 2006, with 257 brothers and sisters having accepted Jesus Christ; 92 brothers and sisters being water baptized and 446 persons attending our church. We thanked God also for the success of the following areas: having started the Youth Service and organized the Power of Praise HK 2006; Blood Donation to the Red Cross and visiting the elderlies of the St. James Settlement and joint activities with Mother’s choice ; Mission trips to Taipei, Tokyo, Seoul and The Land. We also thanked God for the church planting plan in Oman by Brother Nicolas and his family. Several brothers and sisters were invited to share their blessings from God on their family, job, and studies in the past year.

After taking communion, brothers and sisters continued to pray for their personal needs in the areas of health, correct mindset, career and study, good management in finance, life partner, love and acceptance between husband and wife, wisdom in teaching children, take care of parents and win more friends for Christ. Pastor Garvin also encouraged brothers and sisters to live our life by following God wholeheartedly, to have greater faith, deeper in His words and love, experience greater breakthrough and walk with God closely.

When the time was getting close to midnight, we sang our praises and dance together to welcome 2007. The whole church was overwhelmed by joy, love and warmth in the beginning of the New Year. Let’s keep growing in Him and be united to expand His kingdom in 2007.
