21st Church Anniversary Banquet

After the anniversary Sunday service, brothers and sisters changed into their smart and colorful outfits to fit the dress code of the banquet – Smart and Colorful.  Brothers and sisters then gathered at the Paramount Banquet Hall at Megabox, Kowloon Bay, for the annual banquet.

After rounds and rounds of joyful picture-taking, the banquet started with a warm-up game.  Besides the games, members also received a heart-warming gift – a newly-designed membership card and a booklet explaining the core beliefs, mission, history, structure of the church.

It was followed by the sub-district performances.  Brother and sisters made good use of their creativity for the performances, eg the drama performances of SD1  and SD3, dancing performance of SD4 and the musical performance of Sd2 & SD5.

During the dinner, the congregation also revisited our wonderful memories during the last year by watching the annual recap video for the year.  It was wonderful to review how God blessed the family during the last year, which is proof of His faithfulness for the many years to come.

Besides the awards for the long term serving members of the church and the best of the best awards in acknowledgment of the brothers and sisters’ willingness and commitment to serve the Kingdom of God, Pastor Gavin’s family also surprised the congregation with a wonderful performance – they played different instruments to share two songs with the congregation.  It was wonderful to see how God enlightened and anointed Pastor Gavin’s family.

The celebration banquet for the anniversary ended with great joy.  However, it only marked another start of the unending joy of the Family of God in the presence of our Lord Jesus Christ.  Praise The Lord for leading the church into its 21st anniversary!
