Father’s Day 2023

Jun 18, 2023

Praise God that we had the opportunity to celebrate Father’s Day together and express our love to our dads in church!

At 10 am,a photo corner was set up,and brothers and sisters took photos with their dads joyfully. And the Worship service started at 11 am.

In the “Refreshing Moment”,Pastor Gavin shared the importance of fathers and the immense responsibility they carried in caring their families. Being a father,it comes with great joy with family, and also with lots of challenges. That’s why it’s so crucial for us to remember the love and protection that our Heavenly Father provides, especially when our earthly fathers are facing tough times. Thank God for His unwavering support and guidance.

After having the wonderful praise and worship led by brother Fei and the team, brother Alex joyfully testified that the father-son relationships he experienced. He thanked God that he understood his father’s love after he grew up. Now, as a father himself, he finds immense joy in nurturing his own daughter and passing on that love to the next generation. But that’s not all – brother Alex also thanked God for having a spiritual father, his shepherd who gave advice and shared God’s love to him.

Then there was a video about the children expressing their love to their fathers! What a sweet moment! The children also presented the gifts to the dads. After that, Pastor Gavin also led a prayer to bless all the fathers. We honored our fathers for their sacrifice, and heart and diligent life they lifted up the family. We prayed for good health upon the fathers, not only physically but also mentally and spiritually.  We also prayed for the joy of God to be the source of our fathers’ strength and let Jesus Christ be the savior of their life. It was a beautiful moment of appreciation for all the amazing dads.

Last but not least, Pastor Arlene shared the preaching titled “Blessed Father”. In Proverbs 23:24, “The father of a righteous child has great joy; a man who fathers a wise son rejoices in him.” Pastor Arlene reminded us that our God is the beginning of everything and He loves us deeply. As fathers are the heads of the families, it’s essential for all the fathers to pray to God and lead their families towards Him. When we seek God’s guidance, we can trust that He will provide us with everything we need and bless us abundantly. As the service drew to a close, Pastor Arlene led the fathers and the rest of the congregation in a prayer of thanksgiving and supplication to God. Together, we bowed down and lifted our voices in unison, asking for His guidance and blessings to be upon our lives and our church. It was a powerful moment of unity and devotion, reminding us all of the centrality of God in our lives and our families.

Happy Father’s Day ! May the peace and joy of the Lord be with all the fathers always !
