Merry Christmas !

The theme of this year’s Christmas Celebration is “Hope”. At the reception, we received a puzzle piece with the word “hope” on it as souvenir. With last year’s “faith” and next year’s “love”, we will be able to complete the puzzle at Christmas in 2026.

Before the service began, Pastor Gavin shared on Hebrews 6:19. Hope is not just a fleeting wish; it requires a solid foundation built on faith. Without true faith, our hope remains fragile and short-lived. This hope, when rooted in faith, transforms into action, motivating us to stand strong during life’s adversities. Together, faith and hope create a powerful cycle, as highlighted in Hebrews 11:1.

We then transitioned into a time of praise and worship led by Brother Jun and his team, lifting our voices in joyous celebration. With hymns that reminded us of the firm foundation laid by our Lord, we were reassured that He will never fail us.

After that, a heartfelt video testimony from Brother Chocolate highlighted the transformative power of a serving heart. He shared his initial struggles in taking on a leadership role after his cell group was dissolved due to low attendance. Feeling regretful, he soon found purpose when he took the responsibility to care for two new members transferred from Hope Kidz. His eagerness to serve blossomed, igniting a fervent desire to do God’s work. Eventually, he accepted the calling to be a shepherd and caregroup leader.

In a special program, brothers and sisters shared moving experiences from their street evangelism efforts. Their outreach to the elderly and teenagers in the neighborhood yielded touching responses, motivating them to continue spreading the Gospel to more people in future.

Then Pastor Gavin preached on Hebrew 6:19. Throughout life, we face daily challenges, and it is crucial to hold on to the hope that Christ offers. He is our anchor, providing stability amid the storms of life. As articulated in Hebrews 6:13-14,17, we must anchor our hopes in the promises of God. Jesus, who sacrificed once and for all, represents that anchor. Having resurrected, He is now seated at the right hand of God, offering us reassurance and strength.
What can drift us away from the Lord? Where is our hope anchored? Let us reaffirm our commitment to let hope lead us closer to Christ, reminding each other of the eternal promise He offers.

Thank God for giving us hope through Christ Jesus. Let us continue to build up our faith in Him !
