Mother’s Day

Happy Mother’s Day !

On this special day, mothers were invited and it was full of joyful greetings.

Before the Sunday Service began, many happy families took pictures at the beautiful flowery backdrop.

Sister Yu and the Praise and Worship Team led the congregation to dwell in a very peaceful and gentle worship where brothers and sisters experienced the love of our Lord Jesus.

Brother Eddie shared how God answered his and his wife’s prayer and blessed them with a lovely baby boy.He thanked God for an easy and smooth pregnancy of his wife.At the early stage of pregnancy, the doctor had told them there was a lump in the womb. But during an MRI check-up later, the lump disappeared miraculously. What was more amazing was that Rachel said the pain during childbirth was actually minor. And the baby was born healthy. Thank God for answering their prayers.

After the testimony, the adorable children from Children Church sang a beautiful song to all mothers. Then all mothers were invited to go on the stage, Pastor Gavin led all brothers and sisters to pray that God’s grace, wisdom and good health be upon them.

Then Pastor Gavin preached on the Scripture 1 Corinthians 15:10. The title of the sermon is “By his grace and having his grace with me”. Whatever our role is, it’s by God’s grace. We can have joy and energy to fulfil our duties as God’s grace is with us. God created us and accepts us as who we are. God defines what we are by His grace, not what we do. Moreover, by the sacrifice of Jesus, we are all saved and become holy. Without Christ, our life is a demand-oriented life, leading to worries and burdens. As the Bible stated, Martha was so worried because of serving. But Jesus told Martha that only one thing was needed – to look upon Him. Therefore, let us live a Christ-oriented life. When we look upon Jesus, grace and provision will be with us. When our life is grace-oriented, we will keep growing and will perform beyond our responsibilities.

Praise God that 3 visitors accepted Christ as their savior on this special day. After the service, brothers, sisters and their families enjoyed sweet cakes and more photo-taking.

Thank God for the wonderful day !
