Caring the Elderly with St. James Settlement at Sheung Wan 2025

Thanks be to God for His guidance ! For more than a decade, our church has supported the Home Care and Support Services program organized by St. James Settlement.

Over the past year, under the leadership of brother Wai Hong, more than 10 devoted brothers and sisters of our church, together with their family members and even young children, faithfully continued monthly visits to the elders and couples living in Sheung Wan.

Continuous visits were never easy, yet the perseverance of the participating brothers and sisters made each gathering filled with the compassion and love of Jesus. Every visit became a channel of strength and encouragement. Through these simple acts of presence, the elders considered us not merely as visitors but as their family members. They treasured the time spent together, finding comfort and joy in the well-established relationships.

The impact of these visits was profound. Even a simple gift, such as a group photo, was received with immense gratitude. Many elders cherished these photos so deeply, and placed them on the walls as a memory of the love and fellowship they experienced. At the same time, we were equally blessed, receiving the fullness of God’s love through the smiles, laughter, and heartfelt connections shared.

Thank you Jesus ! This ministry is more than a program but a journey of our spiritual growth. As we continued to walk alongside the elders, we were reminded of the teaching in Micah 6:8: to act justly, to love mercy, and to walk humbly with God.

May God’s love shine through this ministry, blessing more and more elders in our community !
