21st Church Anniversary Celebration

Praise The Lord! His faithfulness has led the family of Hope of God Church (Hong Kong) into its 21st Anniversary!

More than 400 brothers, sisters and friends gathered at the Hope Centre in Tsuen Wan for the anniversary celebration service.  Each of the attendees received a complementary souvenir for this remarkable event.
The service started with an video opening,and followed by a powerful and energetic praise and worship.

Just like the main theme of this year – I BELIEVE – through their praises to The Lord, brothers and sisters proclaimed their belief, faith and passion for our Lord Jesus Christ.

After par-taking the Holy Communion, the congregation sat back and enjoyed the video testimony.

Sister Winnie shared how God shaped her from a person without a purpose to an energetic, sweet and hopeful girl who is passionate in serving and bringing joy to the others. Sister Winnie is now determined to serve the Kingdom of God in her everyday life by bringing joy into the community.

Sister Junia shared how God wonderfully provided for her needs.  Through her faith in God, He turned her into a financially stable person with discipline.  She was also honored with the stewardship to take care of care groups of the Family of God.  God is. Faithful God.

Sister Gloria also shared how God broke the ice and brought love into her relationship with her father.  Through God’s grace, her father received Christ.  She is now determined to share the Good News with her family so that they would receive salvation.

It was amazing to see and witness how God blessed these sisters and demonstrated His greatness in their lives.  His grace is sufficient.

Before the sermon, sisters from different sub-districts gave a wonderful dancing performance for the “I Believe” theme.

Pastor Gavin then came onto the stage to share the sermon with the congregation, which was based on 1 John 5:5.  Pastor Gavin reminded the congregation that the right belief of Christians is to believe that Jesus is the Son of God, and the Bible is the Word of God, but not only living principles written by human beings.  If we have the right belief, and continue to believe and experience the faithfulness of God, we will receive His blessings in full and experience the power of the Word of God.

Praise The Lord – 9 friends chose to receive this unfailing love and salvation at the end of the service.  God is truly faithful! Praise The Lord again for His wonderful providence for the church throughout three years.
