Medical Relief I

Praise the Lord that this was the 8^th time. It was completed with a total of 9284 salvations.

We witnessed God miracles were clear that God wanted us to share His love and grace to the people there and to let the people experience the power of His love.

The Great Commission

Then the eleven disciples went to Galilee, to the mountain where Jesus had told them to go. When they saw him, they worshiped him; but some doubted. Then Jesus came to them and said, “All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me.  Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit,  and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age.”

Since 2010, Hope of God Church Hong Kong has been going to Manila and Iloilo annually for Medical Relief. Just like what Pastor Gavin shared in our Church camp that we are part of the story and God is the author. And God has commissioned the church to go to Philippines in his Name.

This year about 120 brothers and sisters joined passionately. We had been moving into schools since 2012: elementary, high school and university. The medical relief had from last year extended medical services from general body check to dental and reading glasses provision.

This time we had Pastor Chris and his team, Dr Daniel and his wife Donna who faithfully joined us in this mission to glorify God. Brothers and sisters had been taking up different roles, mostly counseling and health talk. They relied on the leading of the Holy Spirit and had been touched by what they had seen and experienced. It was blessing to know our Lord more through the Medical Relief.

The weather was amazingly good with light showers and cool breeze. The Medical Relief was a wonderful fellowship time and all of us grew in faith as we witness multitudes of salvation in unity. Another breakthrough was that we have 6 Sunday services going on simultaneously in different places.

By the 9258 salvations, and by the responses of people we encounted, we were touched, and it was clear that people need the love of Jesus.

Let us look forward for our next Medical Relief to glorify His Name. Amen!
