Power of Praise Concert

The Power of Praise (POP) Concert “We are His people” successfully took place on 20th Aug 2006 at the Kowloon Shangri-la Hotel. It was co-operated with our dearest Hope Bangkok Praise and Worship Team. Over 700 people joined this celebration and 19 accepted Christ. Hallelujah!!

With 40 seconds of grand video opening, everybody was inflamed and excited for the concert to begin. Brother Daniel (Pastor Gavin’s son) and Sister Gloria then gave us a powerful introduction of Twin Drumming. The Hope Hong Kong Praise and Worship Team led us to praise God with 4 exciting praise songs which all Hope Hong Kong brothers and sisters are well familiar with. They are, “For all you have done”, “The Name of the Lord”, “My Life is in You, Lord” and “Inside of me”. Following that, Brother Allen invited the Hope of God Bangkok Team to the stage. Pastor Prayuth shared Psalm 100 and affirmed us with God’s word that there would come a time when all people shall know that the Lord is God and we will all worship Him. It will be the time when we will be called the sheep of His pasture as He promises to bring those who have strayed and wandered away back to His fold.

Brother Tony and Sister Maria from the Hope Bangkok Praise and Worship Team then led us with 8 powerful and energetic praise and worship songs. Many of us jumped with passion and lifted our hands to the Lord. Each waved a colourful stick joyfully and victoriously at our Lord Jesus Christ. Among the songs were, “Jesus is my Victory”, “Lord Your Goodness”, “Awesome In This Place”, “Your Love is Beautiful”, “Jesus Christ Son of God”, “Shout to the Lord” and “Emmanuel”.

Pastor Prayuth encouraged everyone to really sing from the bottom of one’s heart to God and restore our relationship with Jesus through worshipping. When the song “Jesus Christ, Son of God” was sung, hearts were touched, tears rolled down and most importantly, our love for God rekindled. A group of brothers and sisters stepped forward to rededicate their lives to Jesus.

The peak of the event was when Sister Maria led the song “How We Need The River”, 19 visitors responded to Jesus through Pastor Prayuth’s calling for new believers. Pastor Gavin led them in the new believer’s prayer. Praise God!

For more than 2 hours, everybody just “Can’t stop praising His name”. The fire and passion for Christ was so alive in each one’s heart. Led by Brother Tony, he encouraged everyone to proclaim “J.E.S.U.S”. Our dear Pastor Gavin was also invited on stage to proclaim “J.E.S.U.S”. Other songs include “Take it all”, “This is How We Overcome”, “One Way”, etc.
