14th Church Anniversary Banquet

Right after the Power of Praise Concert, about 400 of us rushed to Wan Chai to celebrate our 14th Anniversary Banquet at Ho Choi Restaurant.

The banquet was kicked off with a toast led by Pastor Gavin.After several dishes, programmes were carried out by our cheerful presenters, sister Ivy and brother Yong. We played two games and followed by a video “Recap 2005-2006”. We have all enjoyed watching the memorable moments of last year.

The Best of the Best awards were given to members who received favourable comments from the church. It included the seven and ten years members, Best Supportive Roles in various departments, Best supporting DMM, Best Assistant Care-group Leaders and Best Growing Sub-District .

After the award presentation, we expressed our appreciation to the Hope of God Bangkok Praise and Worship Team.

The essence of the banquet was in the presentation from our five Sub-districts. Five countries, Australia , United States , Africa, Holland and China, reprensenting different parts of the world, were chosen as performance background for the theme, “MISSION”. The presentations were entertaining and creative. Great effort has been put it and we thank God for it. The results of the perfomances were announced as follow:

Costume – SD5 ( United States )

This evening was filled with jovial laughter and fragrance of love, care and unity. Everyone enjoyed and silently in our hearts, we all know that it is a blessing to be part of God’s family.

It has been 14 years since our church first embarked in Hong Kong. That means 14 years of sowing and reaping and experiencing God’s faithfulness. God has been great and never lack of blessings and surprises. Let’s continue to rely on God and work together to fulfil His great commission for the many years to come.
