Easter Celebration

April 20, 2014

It is the lovely time of the year to remind all again of His Grace.

It is Easter again! Grace for you! Grace for everyone!!

With the opening of the Sunday service, we were reminded of the truth that Jesus came, died for us and was resurrected. As a church, all of us joyously celebrate the grace of Jesus Christ and His love on Easter Sunday. The celebration kicked off with Brother Allan who led the congregation to sing their hearts out to Jesus in respond to His love. He was indeed the King of Kings and Lord of Lords. The presence of His love so strongly felt!

God was so alive in our church, each of us bear witness to His blessings in our lives. Through the pre-recorded testimony, SD 2 Sister Lydia shared how God opened the way for her to share the gospel to her family and employers. SD 3 Brother Alvis shared of how God had healed him when he focused and trusted in Him. As for sister Carren from SD 1 , she started to see how God changed her when she began to commit and entrusted her life to Him. It was very encouraging and that the best is yet to be .

Pastor Gavin preached that God had given Jesus who is grace to set us free.  Healing our sickness and freeing us from bondages. Salvation started when we received Him. He stated that God’s intention is to destroy the sin and save the sinners (which refers to us).  Jesus was without sin but he bore the sin and suffered the cost. He took away the punishment of sin. The resurrection was the justification that our sin has been cleansed.

Pastor Gavin further illustrated that we were like dust compared to His creations but yet He still loves us so much. Then, he Invited brother Waihong and his daughter Charis to the stage. He pointed out that Charis did not know how much Waihong loved her but the relationship started with Waihong’s love for his child.

Today, it is not about how much we love God it is knowing how much God loves us … A true intimate relationship starts when we know how much God our Father truly love us.

Isaiah 40:26 NIV Lift up your eyes and look to the heavens: Who created all these? He who brings out the starry host one by one and calls forth each of them by name. Because of his great power and mighty strength, not one of them is missing.

Pastor Gavin encouraged all to receive this gift by faith. Faith that comes from the Lord, and from knowing who our God is. The congregation was touched by God’s love and responded to Him, committing their lives to seek to know Him and His love more.

Praise God! On this wonderful day, a total of 17 of our friends and family also accepted this gift. We know that His resurrection is once and for all and His salvation starts at the moment we received Him.

God is Grace!

Lets keep following our loving Jesus!
