Blood Donation

“It is more blessed to give than to receive.” (Acts 20:35) As disciples of Jesus Christ, brothers and sisters were willing to care the ncommunity and donate their blood !

Thank God that our church  organized the blood donation event again during the time of COVID-19. We were appreciated by the Hong Kong Red Cross Blood Transfusion Service because many brothers and sisters donated blood in the critical time of low blood reserve level in the blood bank.

More than a month in advance, we were notified of the confirmed date so that all brothers and sisters could prepare healthy bodies by eating right and resting well.

On the day,the Red Cross came to set up the venue efficiently at around 1.30pm and the event was held from 2pm to 6pm. brothers and sisters of different Groups were arranged to donate their blood in different time slots of the day. Thus, there was a good flow of people in order to prevent mass gathering.

Among the 57 registered brothers and sisters, 41 successfully donated blood. Although some brothers and sisters could not donate blood because of insufficient hemoglobin level, we thank God for their willingness to try. We pray for good health for every brother and sister, and more of us and our friends can join the blood donation next year.

Thank God for such a meaningful event !  Let’s be prepared and give blood next year !
