Annual Camp – Life Adventure: Prepare for it
April 29-30, 2023
The long-awaited camp was finally resumed in 29 and 30 April 2023. Praise God that “Hope Oasis” was the venue of Life Adventure camp. We are so blessed to have bros and sis from Hope land and Philippines joining us. This year is our 1st year of Life Adventure – Embarking. As we prepare our hearts to stand up and embark on this adventure, we want to let God lead us in getting us focused on Him.
This year we have an array of speakers Pastor Gavin and Arlene, Sis Ivy, Sis kat , Bro Wai Hong , Bro Alex , Sis Rosanna, Sis Janelle, Sis Lolita, Sis Pik Sai. There were wonderful illustrations and sharing from their life experiences as they shared about the areas that God had touched them through Nick Vujicic life testimony video, growth of potatoes, Wai Hong trip with family, Pastor Gavin saying yes to people as he believing that He is the one who opens the way for him, Pastor Arlene responding to God’s calling to take care of His people, the miraculous healing of baby Jay and not to forget the move to Hope Oasis.
In this camp we dive deeper into our Life Adventure with God through Joshua 1:1-9 God’s Commission to Joshua and here is the summary of the sharing for the camp.
Get up and get going
- Move out of our complacency and mediocrity
- Move out from fear and failure
- Now Therefore Arise – Change our Perspectives by changing our posture
- Now Therefore Go – Not only get up but also get going
Believe and hold on
- Believe and hold on to His Power
- Believe and hold on to His Promise
- Believe and hold on to His Prosperity
- Believe and hold on to His Presence
Live out to receive
- Speak forth what we believe- Releasing His power with Faith
- Meditate on His Word Day and Night – Knowing His Promises and Prosperity
- Observe to do according to the Law – Walk and Experience His Presence
Praise God for our amazing Worship team that has lead us in to worshipping and praising the Lord throughout the camp. The Spirit move among us and we seek to draw nearer to Him. He touched our hearts and strengthen our faith trusting out lives in Him as we come together to embark on this adventure together.
There were so many interaction time with activities that let us reflect and respond to God throughout the camp. In Life Adventure time, through “God says” game and writing down the strength of others. We are encouraged to reflect on our identity in God and seek for His plan for us for 2023 and to keep each other on track along with 2-3 bros and sis. Each group also sow seeds and decorated our garden in showing our commitment to this year focus “Let us Embark this Life Adventure. With Faith we Sow and Take Root in Him.”
Then we also started with leaf and flower printing which everyone enjoys so much, transferring the colors of the leaves and flowers onto the pouches we prepared. It is amazing to see how this adventure unfolds for each and everyone of us as God put us in this family.
Joshua 1: 9 Be strong and of good courage; do not be afraid, nor be dismayed, for the Lord your God is with you wherever you go.
Let our Hope Oasis continue to expand for Him, becoming a place of refuge. Let everyone who comes experience the Power, Promise, Prosperity and Presence of God !
